Centellax has appointed Jay de la Barre as its Vice President of Sales, where he will be responsible for the direction and management of all sales operations, including pricing, distribution, and channel strategy.
De la Barre brings more than 25 years sales leadership experience in the semi-conductor field. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales at GigOptix, where he achieved eight consecutive record revenue quarters and implemented a fully integrated customer reporting and management system for tracking sales opportunities. Previously, he served as the Director of Worldwide Sales at Sierra Monolithics/Semtech, the Director of Sales at Vari-L/Sirenza/RFMD, and as General Manager at Sterling Electronics/Avnet Electronics. De la Barre earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Regis University, where he graduated magna cum laude. He also served in the United States Army.
Taylor Winfield was charged with finding an experienced sales executive who could address both strategic and tactical plans and operate in the fast-paced, hard driving atmosphere of a young company. In addition to his strong sales leadership skills, De la Barre brings extensive knowledge and background in the customers and markets which Centellax has targeted for growth and expansion.
