Kaiser Permanente announced that Kira Chuchom has joined the company as Executive Director of Data Governance & Architecture. In her new post, Chuchom will be tasked with creating a data governance strategy and oversight process and socialize that strategy with all appropriate stakeholders. Chuchom comes to Kaiser Permanente from Cisco Systems, Inc. where she provided overall strategic direction for data management and built, piloted and socialized the enterprise data governance model across the organization. Previously, Chuchom served as the Director of Product Management and Data Warehousing at eBay, where she built and managed the core international product data management team from the ground up. Prior to that, she served as Manager of Data Decision Support for Rainmaker Systems and as the Chief Architect for Schemazoo, Inc. Chuchom earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and her MBA in Finance & Investments from George Washington University. She also earned a Professional Certification in Information Systems Management from George Washington.
Taylor Winfield was charged with finding an IT professional with proven experience in translating complex business technologies and database architectures into terms relevant to business partners. Chuchom is a seasoned business and technical data management leader with hands-on experience across all aspects of data governance, process and system optimization and performance management. She will be a strong addition to the Kaiser Permanente team.
